Rutledge Mann (Street & Smith)

Rutledge Mann was a conservative investment broker who fell on hard times after the stock market crash of 1929.

Like agent Harry Vincent, Mann was also saved from suicide by The Shadow, who offered him a second chance at life, if he was willing to be his new contact man. He agreed.

His duties include gathering information from newspapers and briefing other agents on behalf of The Shadow. He also prepares reports and dispenses money to the agents as needed.

Rutledge Mann was created by Walter B. Gibson, first appearing in Shadow Magazine #11 (1932).
